It really is the most wonderful time of the year. I love everything about winter, the smell of the crisp air, fires, Christmas lights on every corner and most importantly Hot Cocoa!
Hot cocoa has been a part of this time of year since I was a little girl. I hope to pass along the same tradition to my own kids. This year we got the Keurig® K55 brewer and it has changed how we do Hot Cocoa in our house. It is so easy to use and it has the ability to brew three single-cup beverages in under a minute. How amazing is that?! We are all so in love with it at our house. We got the black brewer but it also comes in Rhubarb which is just so cute.
Since we all love our Keurig® K55 brewer so much we decided to have a Hot Cocoa Bar and invite some of our friends and family over to enjoy some yummy hot cocoa and help celebrate National Hot Cocoa Day which is on December 13, 2016.
We have a lot of fun items at our Hot Cocoa Bar.
The main star of the Hot Cocoa Bar is the Swiss Miss® K-Cup® pods. They come in three amazing flavors New Swiss Miss® Peppermint Hot Cocoa, New Swiss Miss® Sensible Sweets Light™ Hot Cocoa, and Swiss Miss® Milk Chocolate Hot Cocoa I love every single one of them! They’re so yummy! I think Peppermint is my favorite.
National Hot Cocoa Day is on December 13, 2016 and I’d love to share my tips with you in creating the perfect cup of hot cocoa!
- First, you need to use the Keurig® K55 brewer and have it displayed for your guests! It’s so easy to use and it is most definitely the first step in getting that perfect cup! It creates a steamy cup of hot cocoa in minutes and it comes out perfect every time!
2. The toppings and mix-ins can make your hot cocoa, over the top, delicious! Plus, its fun to make! Experiment with your favorite creamers, syrups, candies, etc to get the perfect combination for you! For our hot cocoa bar, we used flavored syrups, many different kinds of marshmallows, chocolate dipped marshmallows, chocolate dipped stir spoons, crushed peppermint, whipping cream, and a few other fun toppings.
3. Prepare ahead of time. The perfect hot cocoa bar is super easy to throw together. With the Keurig® K55 brewer, you don’t have to prepare very much for the set up. Along with the Keurig® K55 brewer, you need is your favorite K-cups, water and any add-ons that you’d like!
The best thing about the Keurig® K55 brewer is that it’s so easy to use. You add fresh water into the reservoir and when the brewer is ready to brew the hot cocoa the lights with flash.
You add the Swiss Miss® K-Cup® pods of your choice and close the top.
Then with a touch of a button, you have some really amazing hot cocoa. It really is that easy.
We will be enjoying our Keurig® K55 brewer all year long and I can’t to share our new brewer with all of our friends and family on National Hot Cocoa Day on December 13, 2016.
